Martha Jane (Fairhurst) Frame

Martha Jane (Fairhurst) Frame passed away Monday, December 27, 2021. At age 93, she went to be with her daughter Mary Ann, who died in 1981.
Born in Akron on November 13, 1928 to the late David and Mary Fairhurst, Martha was a lifelong area resident. In early adulthood, she worked at Firestone Tire & Rubber Company and Carter Lumber Company as a secretary. When her children were born, Martha became a stay-at-home mom to raise them with love.
Martha made many friends through the Senior All-Star Bowling League and the Firestone VFW Post 3383, where she was a member of the Women's Auxiliary and her husband Carl was a member of the Burial Team for 31 years, which made her so proud. She enjoyed doing puzzles, playing games on-line, and keeping up with friends and family on Facebook. She also loved to test her luck and spin the wheel at the casinos in her later years.
In addition to her daughter and parents, Martha was preceded in death by her brothers Thomas, Richard, Harry Fairhurst; and sister Bettie (Fairhurst) DeMaskey.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 66 years, Carl; sons Randall (Pam) and Ronald (Joyce); grandchildren Laura (Mike) Necci, Kristi (Josh) Langschied, Megan (Josh) Schulte, Mark (Lydia) Frame, Neil Carter, & Nicole Carter; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Many thanks to the nurses and doctors at University Hospital Portage Medical Center for their compassionate care of Martha during her final days.
There will be a private service and burial for very close family and friends by invite only. The funeral services will also be live streamed for her many friends at anthonyfh.com on Wednesday, January 5 at 5:00PM. Interment at Rest Lawn Cemetery in Brimfield will be the following day at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Firestone VFW Post 3383, Honors Burial Team, 690 West Waterloo Road, Akron OH 44314.
