Marjorie Alice (Crew) Smith

Marjorie Alice Smith, 89, passed on Friday, April 14, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Marge was born in Akron to the late Harold and Lettie Crew and was a lifelong area resident. She worked with her husband at their business "Dave's Aluminum and Remolding" for many years. Marge was a lifelong member of the Arlington Church of the Nazarene, where she taught Sunday School. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.

In addition to her parents, Marge was preceded in death by her husband David Capitan Smith; daughter Sherri Mast; sisters Lylah Crew and Helen DeCheco; brothers Robert Crew, Donald Crew and Charles Crew; and brother-in-law Bruce Gill. She is survived her children Mary Jean Flossie, Robert D. (Jeannie Marie) Smith, Thom (Diane) Smith, and Timothy (Beth) Smith; grandchildren David, Derek, Joe, Jill, Victoria, Josh, Andre, and Rachel; 12 great grandchildren; brother Harold (Andrea) Crew; sisters Mary (Jerry) Reed and Brenda Gill.

Funeral services will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 20 at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S Main St in Akron where the family will receive friends beginning at 12Noon. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Arlington Church of the Nazarene, 1057 Triplett Blvd, Akron, OH 44306.
