Marjorie Ann Cirullo Louk went home on May 1, leaving behind a life centered on faith, family, and dedication to those she loved.
Born to Cerafina Flora Bilotta Cirullo and Carmen Antonio Cirullo, Marjorie was raised in a large family and graduated from Victory High School in Adamston, West Virginia. She was proud of her Italian Heritage and carried those family values with her throughout her life. She was also a second chair clarinetist at Salem College and a contestant in the Miss West Virginia Beauty Contest.
Marjorie was known for being stubborn and strong-willed, but those who knew her best understood that same spirit was what made her dependable. She loved her family deeply, was always there when needed, and never hesitated to offer support, guidance, or honesty.
A devoted Catholic and a faithful member of Our Lady of Victory Church, Marjorie valued her faith, family gatherings, and home-cooked meals, especially her spaghetti and Easter bread. She devoted 62 years to education at Saint Vincent-Saint Mary and Tallmadge, returning to the classroom even after retiring multiple times because of her commitment to her students and her love for teaching. She had a truly innate way of touching her students' lives and impacting them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Louk; her son, Greg Louk; her parents, Cerafina Flora Bilotta Cirullo and Carmen Antonio Cirullo; and her siblings, Leonna, Sam, Tony (Jack), Ruth, Antoinette, Eugene, Guy, John (Pudge), Joseph (Gay), Bernard, Mary, and Catherine.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammy and Cerafina; her grandchildren, Mario and his wife Hannah, Mariah and her husband Matt, Anthony, Andreana, Antoinette, John, and Angelo; her great-grandchildren, Mia, Sa'Riyah, and Ezra; her son-in-laws, Husni and Tony; and her niece, Toni Marie Jermont, along with many extended family members and friends.
Marjorie will be remembered for her faith, her strength, her dedication to teaching, and the way she cared for her family and friends. Her memory will live on through the people she loved and the lives she touched.
