She held offices in various associated parish clubs and organizations over the years and served as the church's historian. She was Secretary of the Portage Lakes Historical Society, a life time member of the Akron Mineral Society, a member of the Portage Lakes Grandmothers Club, and president of the Green AARP and traveled on many of their trips. For many years she worked as a bookkeeper and secretary at several Akron businesses.
Whether she was organizing classmates, neighbors, or another family party, Marion naturally gravitated to leadership because she loved the organizations, their causes, and the people in them.
