Marilyn (Metcalf) Lafollette

Marilyn LaFollette, 89, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was born in Akron, Ohio on May 4, 1932 and graduated from Ellet High School in 1950. She was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan where she lived with her family. She was a self-less, loving, caring person to all she met. She loved spending time with her family, traveling, and going to casinos. She was a member of the Eastern Star for 60+ years.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Ganske of Fenton, Michigan; and son, Robert K. LaFollette of Saginaw, Michigan; grandchildren, Brian (Chelsea) Ganske of Taylors, South Carolina and Lee (Shala) Ganske of Greenville, South Carolina; great-grandchildren, Sloan, Collin, and Xander; niece, Sue (Rick) Warren; nephews, Charlie (Diane) Pascu, Mike Pascu and David (Karen) Pascu; nieces, Vicky Pascu-Godwin and Sue (Roy) Midcap; sister-in-law, Margie Metcalf; nephews, Cary (Terri) Metcalf and Doug Metcalf; niece, Becky Metcalf; and great-nieces, Lyndsey Warren and Jenn Harper; along with many other beloved great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth; and son, Daniel; parents, Claude and Louise (Mathis) Metcalf; sister, Rema (Charles) Pascu; brothers, Gene Metcalf and Dale Metcalf; brother and sister-in-law, Vernon (Shirley) LaFollette; nieces, Denise LaFollette and Regina Tabor; and nephews, Claude and Gary Metcalf.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 South Main Street, Akron, Ohio 44301. Visitation will be held Friday, October 22nd, 2021 from 4 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Jeanette Valentine officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park on Canton Road in Akron.
