What we do, and how we do it, leaves memories. Dear mom, you leave us a lifetime of them. Thank you for Winnie and Snoopy painted on the basement walls. After school picnics and ice skating. Irish songs to entertain and soothe us. Tailored clothing to make us shine. Thank you for reading and sharing entire libraries of books. Stitching and bandaging us and the neighborhood kids at the side door. You are the last of the original residents on the hill, maintaining the house that dad built for nearly 60 years. You leave us with your well-placed humor and calm advice.
Your children Michael (Maryann); Kathy (Majid), Diane (Tom) and grandchildren Bob (Vanessa), Nicole, Hannah, and Arian will hear your voice in our hearts always.
In death, you rejoin dad, Joe, Jim, Maria and so many friends and relatives. Thanks for the love mom. And a very special thanks to the professional and gentle caregivers on 5N, 3E, 4W of Akron City Hospital; and to the Oncology and Hospice doctors who helped you make your way.
Please join us to celebrate our mom on Sunday, October 16, from 2-4 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A Remembrance Service will follow immediately at 4 pm. A private inurnment of ashes will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
