Marie Adele (Delsignore) Bednarik

Marie Adele Bednarik, 96, passed away on August 7, 2021.
She was born on Feb. 9, 1925 in Dearth, PA to the late Chranze & Dominica (Scarpone) DelSignore. After graduating from Uniontown High School, Marie married Edward Bednarik and moved to Akron, where they raised three Children: Edward, Janee`, & Gary. During her life, Marie was very involved in church and school as her children were growing up and continued to help count offerings into her nineties at Visitation of Mary Parish in Akron. She previously worked at Polsky's, Litchfield School, & Firestone, and was a member of St. Ann's Club.
Marie loved family, Christmas, Bocce, and any event that involved family being together. Marie enjoyed being with her YaYa sisters & will be missed by her best friend Carol Serene.
Marie was preceded in death by her loving husband Ed and six siblings Ann, Edith, Helen, James, Armand, & William. She is survived by, and was the loving mother of Edward (Toni), Janee`, & Gary (Sharon) Bednarik; grandchildren Maria, Christopher, Frank, & Matthew; great-grandchildren Gianna & Oliviana, as well as many cherished nieces & nephews.
The family would like to thank Homestead Hospice and the Gables of Green for their loving care of Marie.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 12, from 4-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Masks and social distancing will be required. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 13, at 10:00 am at Visitation of Mary Catholic Church 55 Broad St. Akron, OH 44305. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
