Marie Aranyosi

Maria Aranyosi, 91, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Sapphire Health Center. Maria was born to Stefan and Marie (Mazok) Wittman in Yugoslavia and came to the United States in 1951. She was a charter member of Nativity Catholic Church, a longtime member of the Hungarian-American Club and a past officer of the Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing and gardening. Maria was preceded in death by her husband Albert in 1988 and brothers John and Joseph Wittmann. She is survived by her sons Ernest (Fran) and Edward (Paula) Aranyosi; sister Anna Feist; grandchildren Christine (Ken) O'Connor, Daniel (April) Aranyosi, Joseph Aranyosi, Catherine (Zach) LaJoye and Robert (Meaghan) Aranyosi; great grandchildren Emma and Katelyn O'Connor. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday 11:00 am at Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, 2425 Myersville Rd. Akron OH 44312 where the family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nativity Church or a charity of your choice.
