Maria Minich

Maria Minich, 90, passed away on January 26, 2016 at the Arbors of Fairlawn. Born in the Ukraine on July 19, 1925, Maria moved to Akron in 1951. She retired from Bank One, where she worked in the check printing department. Maria was a faithful member of St. Demetrius Serbian Orthodox church for over 65 years. Preceded in death by her husband Miodrag in 1991 and Grandson Christopher Battison in 1998, Maria is survived by her daughter Lina Battison of Sudbury, ON; daughter-in-law Kim (Dan) Holly and great-grandsons Brett & Cole Holly. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, 12 pm, at St. Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church on Ridgewood Rd. in Fairlawn, where Maria will lie in state for one hour prior to the service.
