Maria Jager, age 91, of Stow, passed away early Wednesday morning at the Arbors of Stow.

Maria was born January 28, 1924 in Bjelina, Yugoslavia to the late Andrew and Maria Haber. Maria and her husband Jaroslav came to the United States in 1955. She was a faithful member of Christ the King Church where she was active with the Altar Society, and the German Family Society of Brimfield.

Besides her parents, Maria is preceded in death by her husband Jaroslav Jager, and her son Joseph Jager.

Maria is survived by her sons, Frank (Susan) Jager of Dalton, Steven Jager (Gloria Maravola) of Cuyahoga Falls. Grandchildren, Jeffery (Teresa) Jager of Dalton, Andrew Jager of Nashville, Tennessee, Christina Jager of North Canton, and Steven Jager of Stow; two great-grandchildren Amber and Justin Jager of Dalton.

Friends may call Saturday 12-1PM at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 811 Grant St. in Akron, where the funeral service will begin at 1PM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
