Maria J. Denzinger

Maria (Mary) Denzinger, 87, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 after being diagnosed with lung cancer only 3 days earlier.
She was born in Cepin, Croatia on January 17, 1927. She survived World War II and the communist takeover of her homeland. She then married Jakob Denzinger in 1950. In 1954, she moved to Germany along with her young son. In 1956, she moved to Akron to start a new life. Mary worked very hard all of her life.
She is survived by her son, Tom (Patricia); grandchildren, Karen (Tod) Schneider and Paul (Ashley) Denzinger; 2 great-granddaughters, Hannah and Annika Schneider; and special friend, Cecil Nelson.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron where the family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Interment at East Liberty Cemetery. (Anthony, Akron, 330-724-1281, www.anthonyfh.com)
