Marguerite Parish (Parish) Codian

Marguerite (Parish) Codian, 97, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021. She was born on May 30th, 1924 to Joseph and Lucia (Scarpetti) Parish in Akron Ohio and had been an area resident her entire life. She had a lengthy career as the Business Manager of the College of Business at the University of Akron.
Marguerite was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Louis who passed in 2014 and is survived by her children Diane (Harry) Howerbush, Janet Greer, Cynthia Parker and Louis J. (Claudia) Codian; 5 grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She spent many of her years in retirement volunteering for various charities and dedicating her time to help others live a better life. She was always willing to provide her time and assistance for the good of others. She will especially be missed around the holidays, when she baked all of her Italian cookies and traditional dishes. She loved listening to her Polkas each day and while baking in the kitchen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 27, 2021 at 12:30 pm at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Road, Akron OH 44319 where the family will receive friends from Noon until the time of the Mass. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
