Margaret Ruth Rose

Margaret Ruth "Margie" Rose, 69, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024.
She was born in Barberton, Ohio and was a lifetime member of Grace Baptist Church and TOPS in Akron, Ohio.
Along with her husband Wayne, she was a member of the Northeast Ohio Santa's Group. She was a longtime "Mrs. Claus" for the Polar Express.
Margie was preceded in death by her father, Alvie McCafferty; brothers, Kenneth, Ralph, John and Eddy McCafferty; mother-in-law, Doris Rose; father-in-law, Charles (Cathy) Rose; and brother-in-law, Paul Rose. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Wayne; mother, Una Mae McCafferty; children, Ken (Victoria) Rose, Anna (Tom) Eland, Kathi (Dwayne) Switter, Nicholas (Brenda) Shaffer and Todd Moses; brother, Jim (Cindy) McCafferty, brother-in-law, Charles (Cherry) Rose; and sisters-in-law, Kris & Sharon McCafferty. "Nana" is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Kyla, Stephanie (Logan), Kimberly, Adam, DJ, Kaiden and Kora, great-grandchildren, Merrilee and Athena; and many nieces, nephews and all the bonuses, blessings & a few strays along the way.
The family will receive friends Sunday, June 30, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301 where the funeral service will take place at 4 p.m. Interment will be private.
