Margaret Elizabeth Paulus

Margaret Elizabeth Paulus, 79, passed away June 9, 2026.

Margaret was born in Akron to the late John & Rose Ringeis and was a lifelong area resident. She worked at Lawsons and was an Avon representative for over 40 years. Margaret dedicated her life to taking care of others, whether is was caring for her parents, her husband, or sitting for young children, she always put others before herself. She was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Church, where she taught CCD classes for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her family friend Steve Ristich. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Ronald E. Paulus; children John R. (Stacey) Paulus and Julie E. Paulus; dog Sadie; uncle Peter Ringeis; sister Patricia (Terry) Riley; brother Bob (Mary) Ringeis; nieces and nephews Shell (Aaron) Maxwell, Matthew (Colette Koby) Riley, Brian (Nikki Cassella) Ringeis, and David Ringeis; great-nieces and nephews Shep, Willow, Liam, Trey, Dylan, Giuliana, and Isaac; cousins Bill and Wendy; and many other friends and loved ones.

Thank you to her brother Bob for all his help caring for mom over the years, and nurse Bryce Hamburger for being such a special person during mom's treatment.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 11-1PM at the Anthony Funeral Home - Akron Chapel, 1990 S Main St in Akron, with a funeral service to be held following at 1PM. Dress casual or wear your favorite Cleveland Guardians Shirt. Mom loved her candy. Bring your favorite candy and we will donate it to Cooper Cancer Infusion Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stewart's Caring Place.
