Margaret Geers

Margaret Geers, 89 a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Friday, February 24, 2017.
She was born in Akron on August 24, 1927 and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Margaret was excellent in all needle work including knitting in which she knitted all of her grandchildren beautiful afghans. She was an avid reader still reading multiple books a week.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H.; and brother-in-law, Tom Stobaugh. She is survived by her children, Ed (Jayne) Geers, Teresa (Jeff Berger) Geers, Jeannette (Mark) Kaiser, Bernadette (Lou) Lambert and Sharon (Tim Ricks) Geers; brother, Bill (Marlene) Ludwig; sister, Karol Stobaugh; grandchildren, Megan (Patrick), Chris (Katie), Nathan (Kellsea), Jenny, Eric, Matthew, Justin, Michael and David; and great-grandchildren, Caroline, Jaxson, Carson and Grace.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 5 to 7 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. (one block North of Portage Trail at 3rd St.) Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221.
