Margaret Ann Galley

Margaret Ann Galley, 90, passed away on June 30, at the Hospice Care Center in Copley.
Born in Lafayette, IN on March 3, 1923 to the late Gilbert & Esther Swank, Margaret was a 1941 graduate of Jackson Twp. H.S. & 1945 graduate of Purdue University. She retired from Akron General Medical Center where she worked as a dietitian. Margaret was a member of the Firestone Park United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed helping with church funeral luncheons. She was also an avid quilter.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Walter; brothers William, Phillip & Dean and sister Ida Davis. She is survived by her sons Raymond & Paul Galley and granddaughter Kai Galley; brother Clifford (Vernell) Swank of Lafayette, IN & sister-in-law Betty Cheuvront of Ventura, CA.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses & staffs of The Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center, Akron General Medical Center, & Fairlawn Internal Medicine for the compassionate care given to Margaret.
A funeral service will take place on Friday at 12:00 pm at the Firestone Park United Methodist Church 250 N. Firestone Blvd. Akron, OH 44301, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Firestone Park United Methodist Church.
