On Thursday, July 29, 2021, Marcia Louise Roy (Hopp) loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at the age of 66. She battled metastatic breast cancer for 14 years and passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.

Marcia was born on March 26, 1955 in Akron to Wayne and Janet Hopp. She was the youngest daughter of seven children. After graduating high school at Cuyahoga Falls High in 1973, she worked as a Nurse Aide at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital.

Marcia married Tim Roy on October 22, 1977. Shortly after, they lived in Santa Barbara, California for 10 years where she was bookkeeper for various businesses. In 1989, they moved back to Ohio to be closer to family and friends. Her last place of employment was Sterling Jewelers where she was proud to work for 18 years.

She loved her family very much and cherished each time she got together with them. She loved the sun, the outdoors, and was a fiercely dedicated mother and grandmother always encouraging Sarah and Jocelyn to go on to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else to her, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Janet, sister Nancy, father-in-law Fred, brother-in-law Mark, and mother-in-law Joyce. She is survived by her husband Tim, daughter Sarah, son-in-law Jason, granddaughter Jocelyn, unborn grandson Lucas, sisters Kathy (Walt), Rose, and Chris (Vince) and brothers Wayne Jr. and Mike (Lisa), nieces Amy, Sharon (Mark) and Andrea (Travis) and nephews Kevin and Mark (Abby) and her loyal pup Gracie.

Marcia lived well, laughed often, and loved always.
