Lucien "Luciano" DeLuca passed away March 10, 2026.
Luciano was born in Magnolia Ohio on December 19, 1934 as the youngest of eight children to Luciano and Rose DeLuca.
In 1969, he married his loving wife Renata who always took special care of him for 56 years and was by his side to the very end.
A lifelong resident of Akron, Luciano was a retired terazzo, marble, and tile mason whose works still remain in some of the older Akron and Canton area buildings and churches.
Luciano was an avid outdoorsman and craftsman. Known as "Uncle Junior" to his DeLuca nephews, (notably his nephew, Jim DeLuca) and his nieces. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandkids, spending time at his cabin, and working with his hands on his next project.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luciano and Rose DeLuca; brothers, Philip, John, Vincent, Robert, Angelo, Anthony and his sister Mary DeLuca.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Renata, his children Mike DeLuca (Stephanie) and Paul DeLuca (Missi); grandchildren, Cole and Emma and his many nieces and nephews.
The family is grateful for the care from Summa hospice.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 10 to 11 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St., Akron OH, 44301. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am and interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church.
