Louise Graves, 79, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Greenfield Estates.
She was born June 16, 1941 to Milton and Alberta (Thompson) Bell in Cambridge, grew up in Byesville and was an Akron area resident most of her life. She was employed by Summit County Jobs and Family Services Department for 12 years and retired in 2002.
Louise met the love of her life, David Graves at a square dance with whom she spent nearly 56 years with until his passing in 2017. Together they had four children, twelve grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren with number 10 due in October.
Her family was her world and she fervently loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved attending and watching the Ohio State Buckeyes football games with her husband, brother-in-law and sister-in-law. She also spent many hours passionately studying genealogy.
In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband David in 2017 and her granddaughter-in-law Shari Nagy in 2020. She is survived by her children David (Tracy) Graves, Susan Clelland, Matt (Edie) Graves and Maureen (Ed) Nagy; Grandchildren David (Yayoi) Graves, Alicia (Thomas) Broa, Samantha Mieskoski, Kristin Mieskoski (Kyle Feinberg) Ashley (Brad) Shackelford, Darson Clelland, Matthew (Megan) Graves, Nicole (Zack) Starcher, Ryan(Taylor) Graves, Eddie Nagy, Kyle (Alexis Meffert) Nagy and Michael Nagy; 9 Great Grandchildren and sister Nancy Bell, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would also like to express their appreciation to the staff of Greenfield Estates for the great care they provided for her over the past year.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 14, 2020 at 2:00pm at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Road (corner of Steese and Massillon Roads in Green, entrance off Steese Rd.) where the family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the time of services. Interment Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Disease research, The Parkinson's Foundation or to Velosano For the Cure.
