Louis J Brandt

Louis J. Brandt, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
Louis was born in Barton, Ohio and lived most of his life in the Akron area. He served in the Air Force as a Staff Sergeant and was stationed in Germany. Louis met the love of his life while he was in Germany, and brought her home, his 1961 Porsche 356 Coupe, which is being faithfully restored by a family member in Williamsburg, VA. He worked for Goodyear Aerospace, retiring in 1989. Louis was known for his ability to fix anything, from tractors to electronics. He loved woodworking and once built his own grandfather clock. Though Louis was a man of few words, he enjoyed his neighbors and his family. In May of 2024, Louis celebrated his 90th birthday surrounded by his family.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Anna and his brother Bill. He is survived by his extended family of cousins.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 1:00-3:00PM at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S Main St in Akron, during which there will be a time for sharing memories of Louis.
