Loretta Ann Nicholas

Loretta Nicholas, 77 was born on August 13, 1940 in Akron, Ohio to Charles and Ellen King and passed away on October 18, 2017.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Joe King; sisters, Evelyn Lawrence and Mary Lou Naugle; and son-in-law, Chris Wysocki. She is survived by her sister, Sr. Marjorie King, H.M.; brothers, Harry King (Marge) and Bob King (Irene); daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Denny Stacks and their children, Samantha and Jacob;  daughter, Julie Wysocki and her children, Jack, Zachary and Mark; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Patrice Nicholas and their children, Justin and Clare; and daughter and son-in-law, Nikki and Pat Custy and their children, Sean, Patrick and Kieran. Loretta will also be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends; especially her dear friend, Meg Griffin.
Loretta had her mother's Irish wit and strong faith. She visited several Marian sites including Medjugorje, Lourdes, Knock, the Divine Mercy Shrine in Poland as well as the Holy Land. She also traveled to Ireland on many occasions to visit relatives and see where her mother grew up. She was active in her church and the Hibernian Club in Akron and delighted in the countless hours spent with her grandchildren, both at home and at their many sporting, musical and dance activities.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 5 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid and Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. (one block North of Portage Trail at 3rd St.) Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221 with recitation of the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. followed by the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians Prayer Service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Loretta on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Ave. Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221 with interment to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Mogadore, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. (McGowan-Reid and Santos Chapel, Cuyahoga Falls)
