Loretta A. Bertsch, 83, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017. She was born in Akron and retired from the Akron Police Department. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Loretta was an avid sports fan and lifelong Yankees fan. She enjoyed horseracing, bingo, playing cards and planting flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Catherine Miller; and husband, John. She is survived by sons, John (Sharon), David (Patricia) and Andrew (Monica) Bertsch; grandchildren, Stephen (Kendra), Daniel, Ellen and Alison Bertsch; great-granddaughter, Rebecca Bertsch; sisters, Catherine Kraft, Elizabeth Patton, Patricia Kemper (Richard), Mary Steiner (Jim), Marilyn Miller, Martha Miller-Waszak (Joel), Helen Lloyd (Chuck) and Anne Reichenberg; and brothers, William (Jane), Joseph and Robert (Debbie) Miller. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St. Akron, Ohio 44301. The family will receive friends Sunday, 3 to 5 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
