Loda L. Sartor

After seven years at Canal Pointe Nursing Home, Loda went to her home in Heaven on January 3, 2017.
A gentle, loving person, she accepted the terrible trials of dementia and disability.
Loda is survived by her children, Loda May, Mary Ann (Lanny), Betty Lou, and Patty Jane (Bill); grandchildren, Michael (Kit), Rebecca (Scott), and Rob; as well as four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Debra and recently her son, Jim.
A special thanks to the nurses and caregivers at Canal Pointe and to Sister Karen O.P., as well as Crossroads Hospice for all of their compassionate care during this long journey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, 10 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Brown St. in Akron, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr. Suite E, Uniontown, OH 44685.
