Linda Mcelroy

Linda K. McElroy(Spoon), 78 of Pawleys Island SC(formerly of Akron) died June 25, 2023 after a brief illness. Preceded in death by husband Harold, parents Ira and Betty, sister Cheryn Williams and great-granddaughters Reagan and Nairobi, Linda is survived by daughter Linda Michele Scott, sons Jamie(Danielle) Scott and John(Vicki) Scott; grandchildren Katee(Bhrandon), Courtney(Francis) Bearsch, Madison, Ashley(Jesse) and Corey Dixon(Tamara); great-grandchildren Myka, Kham, Bhryant, Lucy, Aliona, Gabriel, Jay'Viar and Cairo; sister Deanna(Larry)LaFleur; stepdaughters Coleen McElroy and Maureen Anderson; a large extended family and many wonderful friends.

Linda was born in Wheeling W Va, later moving to Akron. She graduated from Kenmore High School in 1962. She retired from the Akron Beacon Journal in 1999 after 25 years of dedicated service and she and Harold moved to their dream home in Pawleys Island.

Celebration of life will be August 10, 2023, 5-7pm at Kucko-Anthony-Kertez Chapel 1990 S Main St. 44301.
