Linda Rozelle (Bosecker) Hirschfelt

Linda Rozelle Hirschfelt, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 12, 2024.
Rozelle was born Evansville, IN to the late Dorothy and Albert Bosecker and came to the Akron area after high school with her family and graduated from the University of Akron with degrees in chemistry & engineering. She retired first from GenCorp and then from Goodyear Tire and Rubber where she worked as an engineer. Rozelle was talented at needlepoint, belonging to the Stan Hywet Needlework Guild, ANG and EGA. She served in different leadership roles for her various needlepoint guilds, and was recognized nationally for her contributions to the art form. Rozelle was a faithful member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, where she sang as a cantor and in the choir and was a member the Ladies Guild.
In addition to her parents, Rozelle was preceded in death by her brother Ed Bosecker. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Robert; daughter Cynthia (Ken) Hawkins; grandchildren Kenny and Adelaide; siblings Julie Breckel, Jim (Joanne) Bosecker, and Paul (Stephanie) Bosecker; sister-in-law Bettie Bosecker; and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on February 17 at 11:00AM at Nativity of Our Lord 2425 Meyersville Road, Akron OH 44312 where the family will receive friends beginning at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church. (anthonyfh.com)
