Leroy B. Walter

GREEN - Leroy Blake Walter, 82, passed away Friday, October 25,2013 at Altercare of Hartville.
Leroy was born July 29, 1931 to Virgil Blake and Rose (Thompson) Walter in Green. He lived in Green, attended Green Schools (where he received an award for perfect attendance) and eventually opened Greensburg Auto Parts in Green in 1973. He retired after 23 years and turned the reins over to his son Jeffrey. Before owning his own business, he was employed by Breidenthal Ford in Canton for 20 years.
Leroy is survived by his children Kimbra (Harry) Austin and Jeffrey (Jean) Walter; grandchildren Chad (Lisa) Austin, Joshua (Shanda) Walter and Jillian Walter; and two soon to be born great grandsons; brothers Virgil B. (Billie) and William (Ruth) Walter.
The family is especially grateful to the nurses and staff of Altercare of Hartville for the many kindnesses and attentive care shown to Leroy during his stay.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm at the Anthony and Son Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Rd. (Corner of Massillon and Steese Rds. Entrance off of Steese.) Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be at Greensburg Cemetery. Donations may be made to Canton Ex-Newsboys Assn., Shoes for the Poor, P.O.
