Leo George Moledor, 99, passed away on July 27, 2026.
Leo was born in Akron to the late George and Mary Moledor and graduated from St. Mary High School. He served his country in the US Army during WWII, serving overseas in Austria. He was proud to have been made a sergeant at the age of 19. He was the Chief Clerk at the Register's office of the 124th General Hospital in Linz, Austria.
He was a carpenter by trade for over 30 years and taught carpentry at Hower Trade School for 30 years. He later sold real estate for Sanders Home Realty for over 30 years. Leo was a member of the Akron Trade and Exchange Association from 1968-1969 and was elected to membership in the Top Ten Society of the Akron Area Board of Realtors. He served as the president of the Stow Kiwanis Club from 1972-1973. He was also a member of the Big Buck Club.
Leo was a faithful parishioner of Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Peninsula, OH.
In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by his wife of over 60 years Gladys (Dice) Moledor, RN, along with numerous siblings. He is survived by his sons David (Sue), Mark (Sue), and Paul (Sallie) Moledor; grandchildren Sara, Andrew, Daniel (Bailey), McKenna Moledor, Mike (Barb) Kenney; great-grandsons Michael (Katie), & Adam (Rachel); great-great-grandchildren Lily, Lydia, & Myles; brother-in-law Joseph (Judy) Orsine.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff at Bath Creek for the compassionate care given to Leo.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 2-4 pm at the Anthony & Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 3333 Kent Rd. in Stow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 3, 10:30 am at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church 6034 South Locust Street, Peninsula. Interment will follow with full military honors at Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Peninsula.
