It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Laverne Winters, 91, of Kent, OH, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who peacefully departed this world on October 13, 2024. Born in Harrisburg, IL on September 5, 1933, Laverne touched the lives of many with her kindness and gentle spirit.

Leaving behind a legacy of love and strength, Laverne will forever be remembered by her daughters Linda Sullivan, Sherry Hall, and Tammy Laflin, as well as her brother Denzel Butler. She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren Christopher Sullivan, Shayne Sullivan, Danyelle Hall, Erik Hall, Kelsey Laflin, Cheyenne Laflin and great-grandchildren Savannah Stevens and Ava Sullivan. Although she has left this world, the memories of Laverne will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and cherished her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Louie Butler and Madge (Perkins) Butler, her beloved husband Coy Winters and brothers Wayne Butler, Donald (Doc) Butler and Kenneth Butler.

Laverne dearly loved her family and was passionate about sewing, quilting, and loved the color purple. May she rest in peace, her spirit forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.

As per Laverne's wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
