Larie J. Black

Larie J. "Boots" Black, 81, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 23, 2013.
Born in Toledo, Ohio to the late Fred and Mabel (Williams) Boose, she moved to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio in 1962 with her husband, Ronald L. Black, to whom she would have been married 63 years in November. Boots worked at Montgomery Wards for many years where she met many good friends.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband in 2009; she is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Arvidson of Tallmadge; son, Ronald D. of Cuyahoga Falls; and grandchildren, Joseph Arvidson and Alexandria and Bryan Black. Her daughter- in-law, Christine Black also preceded her in death.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of the National Church Residences Hospice and to the Danbury Woods Windsong Memory Care Unit for all of their wonderful care.
A Memorial service will be held Friday, 7 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. (one block North of Portage Trail at 3rd St.) in Cuyahoga Falls where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
