Kristin Marie Latchaw

Kristin Marie Latchaw, 41, passed away peacefully and woke up in Heaven on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
She was our true miracle child who survived a diagnosis of Medulloblastoma at the age of 5. Kristin went on to lead an amazing life, she was well traveled enjoying many vacations at the beach and other places with her family. One of her favorite things to do was to go shopping, mostly with her dad, and had a flair for fashion while buying shoes. One of the most endearing things about her was her love for Winnie the Pooh, even naming her dog Winnie! Kristin graduated from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in 2003 and loved to tell everyone that she graduated with LeBron James and was his biggest fan! Through the years she volunteered at St. Thomas Hospital - Hospice and Wound Care, Summa Barberton - Wound Care, and Crystal Clinic. She loved helping out in the offices and made many, many dear friends. She had over 15,000 volunteer hours at Summa and 1,913 volunteer hours at Crystal Clinic. We were so proud of her, and she loved her independence. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In the words of Winnie the Pooh: "How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."
Kristin is survived by her loving parents Ed and Laurie Latchaw, brother and sister-in-law, Nick and Amy Latchaw, and nephew, Aiden Latchaw. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Norma Gajdos and Edward and Helen Latchaw.
Our family is very thankful to the Cleveland Clinic Hospice team for their compassionate care. Private services will be held. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at a later date to be announced. (Anthony, Akron. 330-724-1281. anthonyfh.com)
