Kenneth E. LaFollette, 85, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 in Saginaw, Michigan.
He was born in Akron, Ohio and was a graduate of Ellet High School Class of 1949. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. LaFollette was a superintendent with Wonder Bread for 26 years and with Gase Baking Company for 15 years in Saginaw. Ken was a life member of the Masonic Temple and Shriners of Akron and Saginaw and was a Boy Scout Leader for 25 years also of Akron and Saginaw.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Marilyn (Metcalf) LaFollette; daughter, Debra Ganske; son, Robert K. LaFollette; grandchildren, Brian P. (Chelsea) Ganske and Lee P. (Shala) Ganske; great-grandchildren, Sloan, Collin and Xander; sister-in-law, Shirley LaFollette; niece, Susan (Rick) Warren; great-niece, Lyndsey Warren; and many other nieces, nephews and loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Justin E. and Leona L. (Neibch) LaFollette; son, Daniel E. LaFollette; brother, Vernon E. LaFollette; sister, Wilma Acomb; and niece, Denise LaFollette.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, 1 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. Rev. Brian Nutt officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
