Kathryn Frances Haubert

Kathryn Frances Haubert, born May 6, 1931, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2015.
Kathryn was a founding member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish and found joy serving as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the RCIA team. Trained as a legal secretary, Kathryn worked in the IHM School office for over 30 years. She was a woman of integrity and great faith. Having lost her parents young in life, she learned to rely on her faith as a stronghold and a guide. She passed that faith on to her children to sustain them. She was a compassionate, generous, and loving woman and a devoted wife and mother. The needs of others always came first. She found happiness in the little things in life: sitting in the sun, reading a good book, taking day trips, and drinking strawberry milkshakes. She will be with us always.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas J. Haubert and her son John E. Haubert. She is survived by her sons Mark (Jane), Matt (Kathy), and Tim (Mary); daughter Katie (Steve Surface); granddaughters Melissa (Mark) Torisky, and Toni Haubert; grandsons Mitch (Sherry), Peter, Joe (Ashley Chafin), and Timothy Haubert; great-grandsons Cian and Brendan Torisky and Jake Haubert.
The family would like to thank Akron City Hospital ICU nurses and doctors as well as those at Select Specialty Hospital for their compassionate care of Kathryn in her final days.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 5-8 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL 247 Stow Ave. (at 3rd, St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Tom McCann on Thursday, 10:00 am, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 1905 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fr. McIntyre Fund at Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Kathryn's name.
