Kathlyn (Suess) Stein

Kathlyn Stein, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

Kathlyn was born in Hungary and came to the United States as a young girl. She married John Stein and they raised three children together. She was an active member of the German Family Society, and was a big GFS soccer supporter. Kathlyn was a member of St. John Lutheran Church since 1989.

Kathlyn was preceded in death by her parents Adam and Kathy Suess; her husband John; and her brother George Suess. She is survived by her children John, James (Andrea), Mary (Mark Blumenthal) Vlahos; grandchildren Andrew and Jacqueline Vlahos, and Martina and Kyra Stein; and many other loved ones.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 17 from 11AM-12Noon at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S Main St in Akron, where a funeral service will be held at 12Noon. Burial at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 550 E Wilbeth Road, Akron OH 44301.
