Katherine Stella (Martin) Malorni

Katherine (Katie) Stella Malorni, age 90, of Cuyahoga Falls passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023. She was born August 9, 1933 in Akron to the late Stella (Embrose) and Emil Martin. Katie graduated in 1950 from South Akron High School. She worked many years at Christ the King Church in Akron as an educational assistant until her retirement at age 78. Katie also worked for many years for the Summit Count Board of Elections. She was a devout Catholic and attended St. Joseph's Church in Cuyahoga Falls. She loved cats, the beach, and was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Indians fan.

She is survived by her children Michael (Annette) Malorni, Diana (Blaine) Bruce; grandchildren Rory (Haylei) Bruce, Joseph (Paige) Bruce, Christina Bruce, Caitlyn (Stephen) Bonhag, Tyler (Olivia) Malorni, many nephews and nieces, and many dear friends. Preceded in death by husband Vincenzo (Jim) Malorni, son Joseph Malorni, sister Millie Gruich, brother Robert Martin, uncle Gus Embrose, and her black cat Shadow.

Calling hours are September 7, 2023 from 11:00-1:00 PM at McGowan-Reid, & Santos Chapel, Cuyahoga Falls, with service to follow at the funeral home at 1:00 pm. Final resting place is Northlawn Cemetery at a later date for family.
