Justin B. Walter Jr. (Judd) 72, a devoted husband and loving father of four, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Judd was born on October 16, 1951 to Justin B. and Martha Walter, at Akron City Hospital and resided in Cuyahoga Falls, where he would build a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering commitment. He was a man of integrity, whose kindness and generosity touched the lives of all who knew him. He knew no strangers and leaves behind many life-long friends and acquaintances whose lives he touched. His dedication to his family was unparalleled, his every action guided by love for his wife and children. Judd was also a dedicated employee, working decades at the Akron Beacon Journal where he proudly served as a Teamsters steward and touched the lives of many co-workers. Among his many interests were his devotion to coaching youth sports, love of playing his guitar, and enjoying a round golf accompanied by friends and family. A gifted storyteller, Judd would enthusiastically share his knowledge and passion with anyone, effortlessly offering wise anecdotes about any topic thrown his way.
His most cherished role in life was as a father and that was evident in the way he nurtured and guided his children, instilling in them values of compassion, resilience, hard work, and the importance of family. His legacy as a father can be seen in his four children. Though he may no longer walk this earth, his love will live on in the hearts of Dee and their children and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Judd is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dee (Dolores), his four children Justin (Laura), Jon (Becky), Scott (Jen), and Lauren (Justin) and his six "little" grandchildren, Allison, Nathan, Luke, Bridget, Wesley, and Lincoln who will carry on his legacy with love and pride. He leaves behind his sisters, Mary Lynne (Frank) and Julie and many nieces and nephews. Judd will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his love will continue to guide and inspire those he leaves behind.
Judd's love will forever shine brightly, illuminating the lives of all who were touched by his kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion. May he rest in eternal peace, forevermore.
