Judith Shiplett,  81, of Akron passed away at home on Friday, May 20.  Born in West Yorkshire, England she was very proud of her British citizenship and heritage.  She was known to her family and friends as the unofficial queen and saint.

Her husband, Leo Shiplett preceded her in death in 2002.  Her family includes  sons, Steven J., and Jeffrey (Rhonda); daughter, Susan (Michael) Dipasquale; grandchildren, Stephani, Michael, Dakota, Nathan, and Luke; great grandchildren, Lilly, James, and Claire; sister, Elaine (Tony) Wesley; and nephew Jason (Charlotte) Wesley.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St.), where funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
