Judith Ann (Padgett) Joseph, 78, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026.
Judy was born May 22, 1948, to William and Phyllis (Principi) Padgett in Warren, Ohio, where she graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1966. She then moved to Akron to pursue her nursing degree in 1968. She later returned to earn her master's degree in nursing from the University of Akron in 1999, where she was also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, Delta Omega Chapter.
Judy was employed by Akron City Hospital, where she worked as an emergency nurse and later as a critical care supervisor. She eventually retired from Akron General Hospital, where she worked in staff development. She enjoyed cross-stitching, crocheting, sewing, gardening, baking, and was an avid reader. She also loved going to craft shows and was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith. Judy was kind to everyone she met and loved to laugh. She had a warm heart and a way of making those around her feel welcomed.
Judy is survived by her children, Aaron Joseph, Daniel Joseph, and Emily (Adrian) Sigman; grandchildren Savannah Joseph, Sarah Joseph, James Joseph, Danielle (Ricky) Miller, and Adrian Sigman; and great-grandchild Grayson Miller. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Anthony Padgett.
The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 5-7PM at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Road in Green (entrance off Steese Rd.).
