Juanita G. Fernandez

Juanita G. Fernandez, 79, died peacefully in her home on Thursday, October 29, 2015, surrounded by family and friends.
Juanita was born in Akron and raised in Shelby, Ohio. She married Joseph Fernandez in 1957, and found her calling as a devoted wife and mother. Juanita loved gardening and baking, but her truest passion was for her family-her grandchildren, daughters and husband.
Juanita was preceded in death by her mother, Leona Ketterman. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Joe; daughters Naomi (Nick) Sciulli and Margie (Phil) Karwowski; sister Virginia Hedden; grandchildren Liana & Nicole Sciulli and Joey & Tony Szoke; great-grandson Jacob; as well as many, many loving nieces and nephews. She was greatly cared for by Tina Cool-Knight and Lori Pugh, which the family is dearly grateful for their time and love given to Juanita.
The family will receive friends TODAY, Saturday, October 31 from 3-6 PM with services at 6:00 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Road, Uniontown, 44685 (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads in Green, entrance off of Steese Rd.)
