Josephine Nervo

Josephine Nervo, 98 passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018.
She was born in Akron and was a lifelong resident of the area. She retired from the retail industry having been employed with Goodyear, Woolworth's, Kresgie's and J. C. Penney's. Josephine was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and was an excellent cook being well known for her special pasta sauce and Italian Chicken.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Giovanna "Jenny" (Mutolo) Macaluso; husband, Peter in 1978; son, Richard Anthony (Linda) Nervo; and 2 brothers. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Margaret Nervo; brother, Myron Macaluso; nieces; nephews; grandchildren, Laura, Amanda and Peter (Jessica) Nervo; and great-grandchildren, Anthony, Lena, Logan and Dylan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St. Akron, Ohio 44301 where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Fr. Matthew E. Pfeiffer celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Village of St. Edward, 3131 Smith Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333. (Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, Akron)
