Joseph Michael Pinto

Joseph Michael Pinto, 72, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2022.
Joe was born in Akron on August 29, 1950 to the late Mary Theresa & Leonard Pinto and was a proud 1968 graduate of Archbishop Hoban High School. He graduated from the University of Akron and briefly taught history in Summit County. Joe was a longtime resident of Cuyahoga Falls and attended both St. Joseph & IHM Parishes. He was a proud blood donor and had donated over 25 gallons of blood. Joe was a proud grandfather who adored and loved his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brother Dr. John Pinto, great-aunt Helen Rich, and former wife Mary Ann (Snyder) Pinto. Joe is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Anne Marie & Rick Wilson; grandchildren Vivian & Benjamin Wilson; brother Dr. James (Jodi) Pinto & sister-in-law Deena Pinto, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends.
The family wishes to thank CSS Summit County, Community Caregivers of Cuyahoga Falls, and SouthernCare Hospice Services for their loving and compassionate care.
A Celebration of Joe's life, will take place on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022, at 5:00 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where the family will receive friends beginning after the service until 7pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Joe's memory to the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI of Summit County) or to Archbishop Hoban High School.
