Joseph Alan Nemeth (Lamonica)

Joseph (LaMonica) Nemeth, 59, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 16, 2020 at his home.

Affectionately known as Big Joe or Joey to his family, he was born August 15, 1961 to Patricia and Ron Nemeth in Barberton. He lived in Copley with his mother Patricia and step father Nick LaMonica and was a 1979 graduate of Copley High School. He was employed by LA products and LaMonica Body Shop.

Joey loved to build and drive dune and rail buggies with Nick. He and Nick built a rail buggie for himself from the ground up, working on it late enough once to see the sun come up. He drove at Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Michigan.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister Christine Wagner and step brothers Tim and Mike Nemeth. Many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 11:00am at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., Akron where the family will receive friends from 9 to 11 am. Interment St. Nicholas Cemetery.
