Joseph Chiaramonte, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on March 20, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness.
Born on January 23, 1950, in Akron, Joseph was the cherished son of Joseph and Peggy (Williams) Chiaramonte. His life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and an unyielding spirit that touched everyone who had the privilege of crossing paths with him. Joseph's early years were marked by a deep sense of duty and patriotism, which led him to serve his country with distinction in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. His time in the service was a testament to his bravery and commitment to protecting the values he held dear.
After his military service, Joseph embarked on a career that showcased his versatility and determination. He began as a lineman, installing cable lines across the United States, a role that took him to various parts of the country and allowed him to connect with countless people. His entrepreneurial spirit then led him to establish his own mattress and furniture store, where his dedication to quality and service endeared him to many customers. Later, Joseph took on the role of supervisor at RCA Rubber, where his leadership and work ethic left a lasting impression. His professional journey was diverse, yet each position he held was marked by his unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity.
Joseph's personal life was equally rich and fulfilling. He shared 20 wonderful years with his devoted wife, Debbie Lowe, who stood by his side through the joys and challenges of life. His family was the cornerstone of his existence, and he took immense pride in his children, Nick, Nicole, Angie (Tom), Sean, and Stefanie who carry forward his legacy of love and kindness. Joseph was also the proud grandfather of ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to his life.
Preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Linda, and his sisters Anita, Brenda, and Donna, Joseph leaves behind a family that will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his loving brother Jerry, his devoted wife Debbie, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and an extended family and network of close friends who were as dear to him as family.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Joseph was an ardent supporter of the Cleveland Indians, Cavaliers, and Browns. His love for these teams was a reflection of his own indomitable spirit and loyalty. Those who knew Joseph remember him as a shining light in their lives. His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and kindness. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
