Joseph Nicodemus Cacioppo

Joseph N. Cacioppo II, 88, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021 at the Hospice Care Center.
Joseph was born July 25, 1933 to Joseph N. and Catherine (Montabano) Cacioppo in Akron. He was a graduate of West High School in 1951 and attended Kent State University until he had to leave when his father died unexpectedly and he became guardian of his mother and sisters. During these difficult times, Joseph realized how much a father means to a family. He spent the rest of his life being the best husband and father and giving encouragement to all he met.
His life revolved around his family, his faith and his company. He was the owner - operator of Universal Body Shop and was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 66 years, Isabel; children Joseph (Elaine) N. Cacioppo III, Catherine (Salvatore) Zumbo and Rebecca Cacioppo; grandchildren Joseph, Mario (Kate) Zumbo, Giuseppe and Geanna Cacioppo; Great grandson Giuseppe Zumbo; Step grandchildren Steve (Julie), David, Kris (Alisa) Dann; step great grandchildren Breanna, Sierra, Macie, Annabella, Joshua, Angelica and Addison; Siblings Nancy Koepke, Catherine Yost; Sisters in law Adeline Lomelo, Anita Tricaso, Compara Joe Tricaso and Commara Doris Tricaso; special thank you to Dr. John Fratz for all the candles lit a St. Joseph Catholic Church, Karl and Bonnie Simmers; many great loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by infant sister Mary; sister Mary (Fred) Azar, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Rico, Bernard and Danny Tricaso, Mary and Al DiFrangia, , Angie (Mimmo) Gagliardi and John Lomelo.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 4 to 7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Road (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads in Green, entrance off Steese Road). A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11:00am at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd, Uniontown, OH 44685. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations may be made to Queen of Heaven Church.
