Joseph Borbely

Joseph Borbely, 69, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Summa Health Akron City Hospital.
He was born in Dorog, Hungary and was an Akron area resident for most of his life. He played football for and graduated from the University of Notre Dame and instilled a love for the school that lives on through his whole family. He also coached sports and was a devoted father. He worked for Chrysler retiring after 35 years of service.
Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Connie. He is survived by his sons, Joseph M. and Paul Borbely; sisters, Maria (Ron) Easley and Kathy (Dave) Buehrle; brother, Alex (Colleen) Borbely; step-son, David (Kathy) Dech; and step-daughter, DeAnne Dech.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301 where the family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. (Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, Akron)
