Johnny Mack Brown

Johnny Mack Brown, 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2026 surrounded by family.

Johnny was born on October 8, 1945 in Indore, West Virginia to the late Franklin and Goldie Brown. He worked as a welder for many years. Johnny also enjoyed hunting, gardening, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy. He is survived by his children Lisa (Mike) Sledge, Johnny Brown Jr., and Jennifer (John) Green; grandchildren Christina, Michael, Kimberly, Rachael, Christoper and Sheri Sledge, Rachel and Lindsey Brown, Ryan Brown and John Jr. & Alyssa Green; great-grandchildren; siblings Dorothy, Jackie, Charles, Kay, Carl and Jerry; any many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 13 from 10:00-11:30AM at the Anthony Funeral Home of Akron, 1990 S Main St in Akron, where a funeral service will be held at 11:30. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
