John James Rainieri

John James Rainieri Jr. of Green, born February 5, 1960 to John & Billie Rainieri, died peacefully at home on January 25, 2022 surrounded by his family after a battle with cancer.
John graduated from Lake High School in 1978 and the University of South Florida in 1981. He worked from the age of 12 in the family golf business. John was a hard worker and helped his father build and operate area golf courses; Suffield Springs, Paradise Lake, Raintree, and Prestwick Country Clubs. As young as 7 years old, he was hooked on bowling and golf. His passions also led him to a perfect 300 game and a hole-in-one. His love for the game of golf continued as he passed that love onto his children, Marisa & Jacob. John could often be found playing a round of golf with family and friends or caddying for his son. "Johnny Late Night" enjoyed sports, appreciated live music, and valued art. He loved loud music, the energy of a mosh pit, and the vivid imagery of lyricists. If you knew John, his children filled his life with joy. Marisa & Jacob never doubted the love he had for them and will miss him every single day. They will continue making their Dad proud and will forever cherish his life lessons and the memories they made together.
John is preceded in death by his mother, Billie, and step mom, Betty. He will be deeply missed by his father, John Sr, sister, Melinda Haynes, daughter; Marisa Adelman (Zach), son, Jacob Rainieri, aunts, Nancy Rainieri & Veronica Priest, uncle, Joe Rainieri, nieces & nephews, Jesse Greczanik (Nate), JoAnna, & John Haynes. John will also be dearly missed by many cousins and friends.
Family and friends will gather Monday, January 31, 2022 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd. Green, OH for calling hours from 3-6 pm, Mass at 6-7 pm, and a celebration of life following Mass at the parish life center.
