John Roger Meadows

John Meadows, 89, passed away on August 15, 2026.
John was born in Akron on September 18, 1936 to the late Roger and Alice (Trainer) Meadows and was a 1954 graduate of St. Vincent High School. He attended the University of Akron and later served his country in the US Army. John worked as a food broker and sold a variety of products. He was a longtime faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church since 1964 where he served as a member of the Finance Council, was an adult altar server, collection counter, Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his infant brother Roger. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Martha; his children Tim (Allyson) of Nashville, TN, Sue (Tosh) Aida of Huntsville, AL, Tom (Ruth) of Cuyahoga Falls, and Pat (Angela) of Chico, CA; grandchildren Chad (Lauren), Lexi (Chris) Nowaczyk, Peyton, Samantha (Caleb) Farrington, Virginia (Brady) Ficken, Mae (Dustin) Acreman, Jaclyn (Jacob) Maynard, Tori (Alex) Davisson, Jacob, Luke, Simon, & Aaron; great-grandchildren Christopher, Audrey, Laila, Remy, Emery, & Solon; sisters Patsy House and Linda (Gerry) Smith.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 22, 2026, 11 am, with the family receiving friends from 9-11 am, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223.
