John Van Jemson

REEN - John Van Jemson, 87, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020 at
Akron City Hospital. John was born December 5, 1932 in Akron to Van and Anna Jemson and had been an area resident his entire life. Loving, devoted caregiver of his wife, Patricia, John loved his family and his parish St Francis de Sales Church. He had a passion for the unborn child and was an avid supporter of Right to Life. John grew up in Akron attending Garfield high school and Graduated from the Akron University where he obtained his Bachelors in Elementary Education. He was a plant supervisor where he was an employee of Firestone Rubber Co for 27 years, a Real Estate agent for Sanders Realty, an insurance agent for Prudential then retired from Allianz in 2019 at the age of 86 .He was tireless in helping others and was primary caregiver for his wife whom he loved dearly. She held his hand and heart for his last breath before Jesus called him.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Patricia Ann (Eberling – Forte); children Dorinda (Todd) Young, Mark (Jackie) Jemson, Derek Jemson, and Renee (Rick) Reynolds. He has 11 grandchildren including Brandon Young, Andrew Young, Megan Young, Sara Dalipi, Amanda Hohnke, Amber Metz, Greg Jemson,Carlee Jemson, Carson Jemson, John Reynolds and Brittany Reynolds, and 3
great grandchildren Aiden Dalipi ,Sebastian Dalipi and Greyson Hohnke. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings James Van Jemson and Mary Van Jemson.

A funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd, Akron, OH 44319 (masks are suggested and social distancing is required). Inurnment East Liberty Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Right to Life
