John Robert Huth

John R. Huth, 63, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years Cathy Ivancic; daughters Jessica & Jules; brother Jim (Sue); John was preceded in death by his son Jacob; and parents Doug and Jolene.

John was born in Akron and lived many years in his favorite place, the home that his grandfather, John Rabb, built. He graduated from Canton Central Catholic in 1978 and went on to Marshall University where he played Division I football for four years. John worked as a property manager, lobbyist and political fundraiser. He had a great sense of humor and a willingness to help his family thrive. He would say, "I had my time in the limelight, now I get to help my wife and family succeed."

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 28 from 5-7PM at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Road (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads, entrance off Steese), where a memorial service will be held at 7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
