John Joseph Hulgin

John J. Hulgin, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
He was born in Akron to the late Delbert and Wanda Hulgin and was a lifelong area resident. He was a lifetime member of Grace Baptist Church in Akron where he was the director of the Children's Ministry. John will be remembered for his gregarious and loving personality.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death his wife, Sue; and brother Gary. He is survived by his children, Jill (Eric) Jones, John (Charie) Hulgin and Jenell (Brian) Goff; brother, Pastor Phil (Vera) Hulgin; sister, Sheila (Don) Lippencott; grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew (Alexandra), Hannah, John, Jacob, Abigail, Clayton and Gracie; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Aubree, Lilliana and Aurora; and special friend, Diana Goodpasture.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, December 23 at the Grace Baptist Church 704 N. Firestone Blvd in Akron, where the family will receive friends from 10AM to 12Noon. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children's Ministry at Grace Baptist Church. (Anthony, Akron. 330-724-1281. anthonyfh.com)
